Public to be provided with further information on Consumer Rights

More Fact sheets to be launched tomorrow.

As part of the information campaign on consumers rights, a number
of new fact sheets will be available from consumer related or EU distribution points.

The fact sheets are printed in Maltese and are available from:

  • Consumer House in South Street Valletta
  • Forum Malta fl-Ewropa in Republic Street
  • European Commission Representation in Ta’ Xbiex
  • Consumer and Competition Division in St Venera
  • European Parliament Office in Valletta
  • Europe Direct office in Floriana.

The fact sheets provide information on topics that are of
particular interest to consumers regarding the labeling of food and non food products. Personality Ray Calleja, will also continue to feature as the ‘face’ of the European Commission’s consumers’ rights campaign in Malta.

The European Commission’s campaign on consumers’ rights is an objective and entertaining campaign that seeks to educate and inform the public about their consumer rights as EU citizen. The campaign also seeks to encourage consumers to assert these rights.

An electronic version of the fact sheets, available in both Maltese and
English, can be downloaded from the information campaign web
pages within the website of the Consumers’ Association on
www.camalta.org.

Within the coming weeks, the European Commission will also be publishing and distributing to all businesses, a booklet that will focus on the obligations of the business community towards consumers.
